Splendour in the Grass

What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
Which having been must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts that spring
Out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In years that bring the philosophic mind.

  1. Hello, I just wanted to say I enjoy reading your posts :), and I hope you don’t mind but I’ve nominated you for the Lovely Blog Award. By the way, if you are unfamiliar with the awards thing here at WordPress, you can drop me a note if you like.

    • Hello! Thank you so much for that! 🙂
      I’d actually never heard of the Lovely Blog Award…I’ve done some research online and I can’t find that much about it. I’ve found some posts from people who were nominated and I’ve also read your post about your LBA…so I guess I’ll have to do sth like that 🙂 I’ll be sure to do it soon 😀
